The Håverud Aqueduct locks were built between 1865-1868, and serves the Dalsland Canals. The Canal begin just south at Köpmannebro and continues to Lake Östen. Along the way, there are 31 locks to allow canoes, yachts and other tourist vessels to slowly adapt to the 217 ft change in water level along the way.
