Go skiing in Norway! Norwegians love skiing and cross country skiing is the national sport of Norway. It may not be true, but it is said that the Norwegians are born with skis on their feet.
In this video you can get a glimpse of what the area has to offer.
You can see a part of the majestic Folgefonna glacier. This is the 3.th largest glacier in Norway. The Buer glacier is an arm of Folgefonna glacier. From the centre of Odda it is about 8 kilometres to Buer. From the parking lot you can already see the glacier from a distance.
This is for experienced skiers only!
Seljestad in Odda Municipality is one of the best areas in Norway for cross country skiing, with more than 100 kilometers of tracks. The cross country trails are maintained to a high standard throughout the winter. They are free to use, and there is a wide range of trails from short and flat beginner's areas.
Season starts in October/November and last until May.
Why not come and try our national sport?
NOTE: This is not far from the world famous Trolltunga – which we recommend in the summer season.
