A chilly night along the Caledonian Canal at Loch Lochy brings snow to the mountains above us overnight. We set off along the along the way eager for what the day will bring. The home of clan Cameron offers a lesson in history and natural wonders, marvelous bears abound near the only shelter I’ve seen along the way, and the awesome, ever changing beauty of the Scottish highlands continues to take my breath away. Perhaps even better than all that, is the warmth of the people we meet out along the way. This is, as Sundance says, what it’s all about.
