Great drive experience, beautiful scenery and impressive roads from Kilpisjärvi (Lapland, Finland) to Svolvær (Lofoten Islands, Norway) north of the Arctic Circle.

Kilpisjärvi (http://www.kilpisjarvi.org/en/) is the northwesternmost Lapland village in Finland, and the last village before the border of Norway close to the Arctic Ocean.

Svolvær is the main town and port of the Lofoten island group (http://www.lofoten.info/en) in Nordland county, Norway. Svolvær is a good starting point to explore the Lofoten archipelago.

The drive was about 450 km and 7 hours. It took place in March.

Route:

Start from Arctic Polar Holiday Village in Kilpisjärvi (http://arcticpolar.net/).
E8 up north from Kilpisjärvi, the famous Saana fell on the right - crossing the border to Norway.
E6 to the west to Bjerkvik - E10 to the Tjeldsund Bridge.
After the Tjeldsund Bridge road 83 to the north - shortcut road Gate 1490 - back to road 83 to Refsnes.
Refsnes to Flesnes ferry (http://www.lofoten.info/en/Ferry-and-expressboat).
Road 83/85 - back to the E10 road to Svolvær.
End in Svinøya Rorbuer in Svolvær harbor (http://www.svinoya.no/en/).

The fastest way is to follow the E10 road from the Tjeldsund Bridge to Svolvær.
