Pirates#قراصنة #اسلندا#TahaEssou#Morocco#Canada In the summer of 1627, North African corsairs from Salé raided the Icelandic coast, killing about forty people and capturing about four hundred. The captives were taken back to North Africa, where they were enslaved; many survivors were eventually redeemed by Danish royal emissaries or private agents.
