What started a beautiful first day of our meteorological spring changed quickly when 3 inches of snow hit west of Colorado Springs in Woodland Park in just 45 mins. Other areas in and around Colorado Springs saw 2 inches in 60 mins. Snow quickly overwhelmed roads, plows and drivers. Hail and sleet also was falling in the area. A total of 5 inches of snow fell in 2 hours in some areas!! Numerous accidents were reported and all of the area including Colorado Springs went on accident alert. Video includes heavy snow, plows, dangerous driving, and blinding conditions.
