GOD VS. GOG
God orders Ezekiel to prophesy against some fearsome ruler named Gog, who rules over the mysterious land of Magog and is chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. The identity of this fearsome prince is explored in the light of current world events.
God's going to put a hook in his mouth and lead him and his massive army to invade the restored nation of Israel. The armies that will side with Gog include Persia (hey, that’s our Iranian Ayatollah in the news today), Ethiopia, Put, Gomer, and people from the distant north. Are we looking at the rebirth of the Ottoman Empire in Erdogan’s backyard?
This vast confederation will come like a storm or a cloud covering the land, as Gog is evil-inspired to invade and plunder the defenseless towns in the Promised Land—provoking other nations like Sheba, Dedan, and Tarshish. Again, comparisons are made with the current security and prosperity enjoyed by Israel with the Abraham Accord with several Gulf nations.
When Gog invades, he'll encounter the wrath of God in full force. Mankind, birds, fish, and animals will all tremble and quake at the vengeful presence of God as cliffs and walls and mountains tumble down. Confusion reigns as everyone's swords will be against each other within the ranks of Gog, as God pours down pestilence, torrential rain, fire, and sulphur. All the nations will see God's holiness and greatness. Marvel Comics should do well to replace Thanos with Gog as the next arch-villain in "The Avengers" sequel.
