Fifth Annual Champagne, Music, and Peer Gynt Sweets: A Fundraiser for the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota 2021 Youth Strings Competition
*THE HABBESTAD ENSEMBLE | ECHOES OF NORWAY*
Sun, Jan 17, 2021, 2:00 PM CST
Norway House’s Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota is proud to present a family of musicians from Oslo, representing three generations of talent. The Habbestad Ensemble has been making music together since 1996. In 1997, they toured the United States for the first time, and they have performed extensively through Scandinavia and Europe.
The ensemble consists of Kjell, Inger Elisabeth, and their children Ida, Ingvild, and Erlend. Their grandchildren are slowly being integrated into the ensemble as they continue to excel on their respective instruments.
This online event will feature a 45-minute streamed concert by the Habbestad family from their home in Norway, and a happy hour post-concert talkback, in which guests will be able to chat and ask questions of the ensemble.
A suggested donation of $50 is requested, though we encourage all to attend. For $100, you will be acknowledged during the live stream. Please consider a donation to the Edvard Grieg Society of Minnesota.
