Susanne Sundfør performing 'White Foxes' 1800+ metres above sea level on Gaustatoppen, on Saturday the 26th of August, 2017. Gaustatoppen is a mountain in Tinn, Telemark, Norway that peaks at 1883m. It's famed for its impressive view, which is said to cover about 60,000 km², close to one fifth of Norway's mainland.
The concert took place at around midnight, in the pitch of dark, when the temperature was just above freezing. Thousands of audience members helped light up the mountainside with their head torches, making it a magical, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Shots of the audience can be found elsewhere on YouTube (E.G. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5FUbx6BFd8 or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGDkB1P4AuA).
The concert was a part of Norad's (Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation) night trek campaign, which aimed to raise awareness of UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. These goals aim to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all. Over 7000 people participated in the trek, including Ms. Sundfør herself.
