Shetland is a sub arctic archipelago that straddles the north Atlantic ocean and the North Sea. From ancient to modern times the sea was the highway upon which all Shetland people travelled. Watch this fascinating presentation by Dr Esther Renwick and Dr Marc Chivers who talk about the archaeological, and material cultural evidence, of Shetland's sea roads. This is a Zoom video of the talk Moder Dy CIC provided to St. Andrews Archaeology Society on Thursday, 18th February 2021.
