The Japanese Navy’s undetected evacuation of the Aleutian Island of Kiska in 1943 remains one of the war's most outstanding examples of Naval planning. In this case by Rear Admiral Masatomi Kimura of the Imperial Japanese Navy.

Our guest is Ivan Sordo who has a Bachelor and Master of Arts in History from San Francisco State University. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 11 years - 4 years active and 7 years in the Reserves.
