The Jean Monnet Atlantic Network 2.0 (JMAN 2) pursues work that has been conducted for more than five years under the auspices of the European Commission in the Erasmus+ programme. Facing the Atlantic Basin as a central arena of globalisation and a microcosm of key global trends, the project aims to identify and analyze relevant challenges and opportunities for regional players, highlighting the possible roles of the EU. Its most recent studies and discussions revolve around three central themes: Energy & Sustainability, Trade & Economy and Security & Inequality.

The JMAN 2 is coordinated by the International Intelligence Unit of Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV IIU) together with five renowned institutions around the Atlantic Basin:
Instituto Português de Relações Internacionais - NOVA (Portugal)
Centre for International Information and Documentation in Barcelona (Spain)
Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (Mexico)
Policy Center for the New South (Morocco)
Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium)

The third panel, “Webinar | Panel 3 | Security and Inequality: Covid-19 and its Multilayer Impacts on the Society”, seeks to explore Security and Inequality in Atlantic Societies, followed by a Wrap-up session encompassing the main points of all three panels discussed so far.
