Finally, I´ve started working on a new V8 sound for the NG Scania and also for the 5/6-series. As some of you may know I´ve recorded a 2012 R560 V8 some weeks ago, but wasn´t very happy with the result of the recordings. I first wanted to build the sound only out of my own recordings, but that somehow didn´t satisfy me, because the truck I recorded sound a bit strange. So, I took a look into the sound files I used for my previous V8 sound, and mixed them together with my own recordings of the R560. And I have to say it doesn´t sound that bad actually, even though I hadn´t had much time for working on this project. What do you think about the sound in its current state? Do you like it, or should I change/improve some aspects? Please let me know, because I wanna build the sound to your preferences.
Another special thing in today´s video is the whole truck: We´re driving the currently most powerful European truck today, a Scania 770S V8, but with some very nice and brand new parts! The modder "TheNuvolari" has finally released his XT-addons V1.1 for the NG, including the very nice steel XT front bumper with a lot of customisation options, the more robust XT mirrors, a special XT skin and much more! He has modelled the bumper completely himself, and the result is very very nice! Because I´m a big fan of the Scania XT, I couldn´t resist using these parts today. And together with the 770S, I think you can´t complain about it ;)
We´re driving from Honningsvåg in Norway to Longyearbyen on the island Spitsbergen, transporting a 30 t CAT D8T bulldozer on a 3-axle low-loader without steerable axles. It was a quite funny and especially challenging tour with this kind of load, but I really enjoyed it. I hope you´re enjoying it too ;)
